A machining process that uses a metal wire as an electrode and discharges pulses of current to form the desired shape on conductive materials. It can be used for separating the printed part from the substrate or cutting out other desired shapes.
Using tools like grinding wheels and abrasives to smoothen the rough surface of the 3D printed model. This is followed by polishing tools to further enhance the smoothness and texture of the part's surface.
Some metal 3D-printed parts that require high precision undergo mechanical processing to achieve the desired dimensions and shapes.
Certain metal materials may shrink or deform during the 3D printing process. Heat treatment is used to stabilize the internal structure and enhance mechanical properties.
